Anchorsong is the solo project by Masaaki Yoshida from Tokyo, Japan.

His unique live performance is becoming popular in Tokyo underground scene. He creates music with AKAI MPC2000XL and KORG Triton right in front  of the audience. In other words, he re-creates the process of the  composition in Dance Music on the stage. Some people say, "It's like a painter drawing on a white canvas."

His live performance's  reputation is getting known internationally through YouTube. Since the first video is uploaded, they had been viewed more  than 35000 times.

Many people try to talk about his live performance, but the most important thing is the quality of the music itself stands out. It's dance music inspired by Hip Hop, House, Techno, Electronica and so on, but also it can be enjoyed at bedroom too.
Every song develops dramatically and sounds like almost "pop" music.

Anchorsong is not only solo artist but also the fluid project to create an  interesting works by collaborating with other unique musicians.

Finally, his 1st EP "The Storytelling EP" will be released on 16th May 2007(only in Japan.)
It's packaged as 2 discs (CD and LIVE DVD.).
On DVD side, besides his solo performance, the collaboration with amazing string quartet (Violin  x2, Viola, Cello) is included.
